OUR STORY - WHO WE ARE
IgY Lab Systems
The founders of IgY Lab Systems have worked along side each other for more than 20 years, building a comprehensive body of knowledge regarding the many applications of chicken antibodies (IgY). IgY Lab Systems is a spin-off company from the pioneering company, Immun System I.M.S. AB, which was started in the 1980s by Per-Erik Wejåker and Dr. Anders Larsson. Although Immun System I.M.S. is no longer in existence, IgY Lab Systems continues their long-standing tradition of expertise and excellence in producing high-quality IgY antibodies for use in research, diagnostics, and a range of other applications.

Anders Larsson, Professor of Clinical Chemistry
Dr. Anders Larsson founded Immun System I.M.S. AB in 1983 and is one of the co-founders of IgY Lab Systems. He is an authoritative expert in the avian antibody field, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in the subject. Dr. Larsson is involved in business development as well as providing technical expertise.
Johan Stålberg, MSc in Analytical Chemistry
For over 20 years, Johan worked at Immun System I.M.S. AB in a variety of roles including project management, quality assurance (QA), and on the board of directors. He is a co-founder of IgY Lab Systems and continues to work in project management and QA.
Kajsa Wejåker, MSc in Business Management
Kajsa co-owned Immun System I.M.S. AB and is a co-founder of IgY Lab Systems. Her knowledge and expertise in managing the animal care facility is pivotal, and she provides a crucial link to the first steps of IgY antibody production.
